A brief history of the brand

A little clarification before we go any further:
it was neither Elle & Vire nor their "Fleurette" crème fraîche, but the brand Florette, known for its salads.

And we clearly didn't see that one coming.

In 2021, convinced by our project, we filed and registered the trademark "Fleurette" with the INPI, for our elderflower liqueur: La Fleurette de Maison 16.

A few days later, however, the phone rings.
It's the lawyer for the Florette brand. Their name being already protected, they consider our name too similar to theirs.

Several exchanges and letters followed. After discussion, a solution was found: we keep the name Fleurette, but exclusively under class no. 33, which concerns alcoholic beverages.

For information, the INPI system distinguishes 34 different classes of products and services in France. The same brand can therefore coexist, provided it operates in clearly separated sectors.

A slightly unexpected administrative step, but one that is now part of the history of Fleurette de Maison 16, our elderflower liqueur, born of artisanal know-how... and a name now truly its own.
